Staking Guide
Welcome to the NuCypher Worker pool Staking guide!
To learn how to stake in the pool, simply follow the instructions below.
Prerequisites:
1. Add NU to Metamask on mainnet: 0x4fE83213D56308330EC302a8BD641f1d0113A4Cc
2. Bridge your NU from Mainnet https://omni.xdaichain.com/bridge
3. Add xDai Chain to Metamask:

4. Add NU to Metamask on xDai: 0x60E663eb97bd747566bad4fB736DDc671fabbe95
Step 1: Request Loot or Apply for Membership
There are two options for joining the pool:
- Request Loot – gives proportional reward claim based on the amount you stake (no governance power).
- Apply for Membership* – gives proportional governance power (voting ability) and reward claim based on the amount you stake.
*To apply for membership, you need to verify your humanity (prove you are human). To get started with membership, skip the steps below and instead go here to request verification.
If you do not wish to verify yourself for governance power and just want rewards, please continue with the steps below.
Step 2: Enter NU Pool
Click: ‘Join Pool’ button above
Step 3: Connect Wallet on xDai
You will end up on the Pool Proposals Page. Click the ‘Connect Wallet’ button on the top right of your screen to connect your Metmask wallet. Make sure your wallet is connected to the xDai Network.
Step 4: Complete The Loot Proposal
Click the ‘Loot Grab‘ option and enter the amount of NU you want to join with.
*A minimum of 500 NU is required to join.
Step 5: Unlock Token
Hit the ‘Unlock Token‘ button to approve the token in your wallet.
Step 6: Submit The Proposal
Hit the ‘Submit‘ button and pay the transaction fee to send the proposal to the pool.
Step 7: Getting Sponsored
After you successfully submit the proposal, an existing member must sponsor it in order to be approved by the pool.
Step 8: Receiving Your Loot
The vote to accept your proposal will last 5 days, plus 2 days for processing. Once the vote successfully passes, you will receive your NuCypher Worker Pool Shares and officially be a co-owner of a NuCypher Worker.
